Moving Forward from Trauma

6 module programme

This gentle 6 module programme has been specifically designed to support individuals who have experienced trauma. It provides the opportunity to  develop a greater insight and understanding of  why trauma has shown up and how it may manifest itself in our thoughts, emotions and behaviours everyday life.

This thought provoking and empowering programme offers individuals information, compassion, space and choice to consider how they can take steps to move forward and work towards a life without trauma. The programme can be adapted to meet individual and or group requirements. Currently being used by services in Hampshire and Wales.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 The key topics covered in this 6 module programme focuses on developing insight into:

1.  ‘What is Trauma? Understanding trauma states, what they look like and why they show up.

2.  ‘Becoming more Emotionally Aware'

 Understanding the role of Emotional Intelligence in supporting a move away from trauma.

3. ‘Feeling Safe in your body'

Beginning the process to feeling safe again – learning to calm the nervous system.

 

4. ‘Building Support and Compassion'

Learning how to overcome barriers to self-compassion and trust and move towards building a healthy relationship with yourself and others.

5. ‘Taking Care of yourself'

Becoming aware of the barriers to self care. Beginning the process of creating meaningful and practical self-care habits.

6. ‘Redirecting your strength'

Focusing on redirecting your strength away from survival based behaviours, to nourish new ways  to  plan towards the life you want.

 

 

This programme does not conflict nor replace any individual need for specific therapy. 

 

 

 

 

The Trident approach to tackling trauma in the workplace.

 

 

 1. Creating a Trauma Informed Workplace.

The course invites delegates to redefine their understanding of trauma, explores the origins and purpose of our natural threat systems, how everyday demands and  reactions to problems can put our  threat systems into overdrive, creating trauma in the body. This trauma impedes logical thinking, problem solving and will detrimentally affect performance and wellbeing.

The course invites the delegates to put on their curious cap and consider how they can create a more Psychologically Informed Environment within their workplace.

Creating this environment means creating a culture of awareness and confidence to implement processes and approaches to effectively support everyone in the workplace.

 

 2. Emotional Intelligence in the workplace.

This course explores the concept of Emotional Intelligence, its purpose is for delegates to gain a greater understanding of what it means, and why higher levels of emotional intelligence within the workplace, are crucial for the overall wellbeing of any organisation.

This course will work with delegates to explore their own levels of  self-awareness, self regulation, empathy motivation and socials skills and explore how these impact on the relationships, well-being and performance in their workplace.

 

 

 3. Wellbeing based Performance Management system.

This course focuses on developing effective wellbeing led, performance management processes. It invites delegates to explore how they use their own emotional intelligence, to take a deeper dive into the emotional states and behaviours of their employees.

Building positive relationships where the norm is to be genuinely interested and curious, facilitates a more positive and trusting environment for All employees.

The course also supports delegates in their duty of care and effective recording of plans to support those trauma in the workplace.
